Chiefs place defensive end Glenn Dorsey injured reserve with calf injury

Excerpt:

PITTSBURGH– The Kansas City Chiefs have placed defensive end Glenn Dorsey on harmed reserve with a calf injury and added protective back Neiko Thorpe to the 53-man roster. Dorsey played in just 4 games this season. He hurt his left calf in practice in September and missed 4 games, then hurt his right calf during a 31-13 loss to the Chargers on Nov. 1. The previous first-round draft pick completes the season with seven takes on and no sacks. Thorpe made the Chiefs this summer time after signing with the club as an undrafted rookie free agent. He played on special groups during a 9-6 loss to the Ravens last month, and was on the practice squad when he was promoted before Kansas City dealt with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night.
